November 29th (Friday): 24 hours of Peace

Come join us for “24 Hours of Peace” at Civic Center Park in Denver, from noon to noon Friday, November 29th through Saturday, November 30th. The intent of this event is to demonstrate Coloradoans’ firm commitment both to stopping the war on Iraq and to following the path of nonviolence in resolving conflicts.

The program will include speakers, music, poetry, art, spiritual observances from many traditions, movement building, and lots of time for silent meditation and prayers for peace! All are welcome to attend the entire event or any part. Bring an offering to place on the special Peace Altar and come prepared to express your heart through drawings and /or words on the Peace Art Wall.

A nearby church is available for warming up through the night. Be sure to dress warmly and bring a blanket and something to sit on.
