Former U.S. Naval Intelligence Officer, Iraqi Dissident to Hold News Conference Day Before Bush’s Visit to Denver

 

 

DENVER, CO  –  A former U.S. Naval Intelligence Office during the Gulf War of 1991 and an Iraqi dissident imprisoned by Saddam Hussein on numerous occasions will hold a news conference opposing President Bush’s plans to invade and occupy Iraq.  The news conference will take place on the west steps of the State Capitol Building at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2002, the day before President Bush arrives in Denver.

 

A protest march is also planned to coincide with President Bush’s $1,000-a-plate fundraising stop at the Adam’s Mark Hotel on Friday, September 27, 2002.
