The groups, called Coloradans Against Bush's War on Iraq, have secured a permit to rally at the City and County Building Friday at 11 a.m.
Bush will stop in town briefly for a $1,000-a-plate luncheon to raise money for 7th Congressional District candidate Bob Beauprez. The Republican is locked in a tight race against Democrat Mike Feeley to represent the new district.
White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said Bush campaigns on behalf of candidates who share the president's agenda for the country.
Stanzel said Bush will talk about the war on terrorism, tax cuts and stimulating the economy during his speech at the Adam's Mark Hotel.
While Bush is in Denver Friday, Vice President Dick Cheney will be in
nearby Laramie, Wyo., on another fundraising trip.
