Coloradans to Barak: Don’t Reject Our ‘Generous Offer’!!

Meanwhile, two Coloradans are in West Bank

What/Who: Ehud Barak-masked street theatre troupe will make a ‘Generous Offer’ of Swiss cheese to attendees of the Former Israeli Prime Minister’s talk But will the attendees accept this generous offer? Come find out!

Where: Denver Center for Performing Arts Center, 14th and Curtis

When: Monday, April 29, 6:30 pm

Have you seen a map of the ‘Generous Offer’ Barak has offered the Palestinians? Israel claims this is the most “generous offer” in a long time, but why would the Palestinians reject this offer? Most people in the U.S. don’t know. The fact is the ‘Generous Offer’ would result in a non-viable Palestinian state, with Palestinian-controlled areas interspersed with Israeli settlements and by-pass roads. This ‘Generous Offer’ would result in a state with about the same consistency of swiss cheese.

The Colorado Campaign for Middle East Peace hopes that by educating the public about the Palestinian perception of the ‘Generous Offer’, the U.S. media and public will start to seriously consider the facts around the issues.

"Say Stephanie Phibbs from CCMEP, "It's in everyone's interest to end Israel's illegal occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. Palestinians have suffered immeasurably under 35 years of illegal military occupation. A public educated about the facts of Barak's "generous offer" will realize why this would only continue Israel's control and domination of the Occupied Territories."

Denver residents and members of CCMEP, Brian Wood and Larry Hales, are currently both in the West Bank.

During Monday in Hebron, Larry was witness to an Israeli army attack on the Palestinian city of Hebron. At least 8 Palestinians were killed, dozens wounded and Larry and other internationals attempted to intervene when the Israeli military kidnapped Dr. Younis, the vice-president of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Hebron. Yesterday Larry was one of 20 internationals that reached the door of the Church of the Nativity to deliver food and water.

Brian Wood remains in the Jenin Refugee Camp, interviewing witnesses of Israel’s brutal attack, as well as coordinating internationals visiting the area.
