What binds us together as "civilized"
if we allow trappings of political power to dictate our response to the
bloodthirsty ethnic-cleansing, state-sponsored war crimes perpetrated against
the poor, defenseless, increasingly homeless and desperate Palestinians?
Try putting yourself in their shoes
and ask yourself how you would respond to helicopter gunships and F-16 planes
bombing your family and the infrastructure around you. Do those behind these
attacks suppose the result will be a crushed spirit? Righteous indignation is
more likely.
Worse is the modern-day McCarthyism
that plagues anyone in politics who speaks up for the human rights and basic
security for Palestinians.
We do not need another war. We cannot
support such apartheid. Please cut off aid to Israel before it is too late. Show
that America stands against oppression.
