This Saturday, Oct. 27th, at Noon at the State Capitol, Coloradans will be demanding an end to the war against Afghanistan, an end to racist attacks and profiling against people of color and to confront our government’s attempt to squelch our civil rights.

At approximately 12:30pm a march will lead down the 16th Street Mall to Stout Street and return back to the State Capitol for several diverse speakers.

Sponsors of the march and rally are calling on Coloradans to bring visual demonstrations of the catastrophic humanitarian crisis unfolding in Afghanistan.

"While justice needs to be sought for September 11," says Denver Green Party representative Damon Haley, "bombing further demolishes Afghan human rights and continues the cycle of starvation and extreme poverty

that will lead more people into fanaticism and make the world more dangerous."

"September 11 was a criminal act, and should be treated as such," says End the Politics of Cruelty member Mark Cohen, "using the same mechanisms of international law that recently brought the perpetrators of the embassy bombings to justice - without the deaths of innocent people."
