Since September 11, 2001 we are hearing of increasing threats and harassment being leveled against American Arabs, Muslims and anyone with darker skin.  If you are a victim of such treatment, please consider writing up the incident (with date, time,
names, descriptions, dialogue, narrative, etc..) and bring this to the attention of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC),  the Council on American Islamic Relations, U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, and the local U.S. Justice Department:

September 11

· Two Muslim girls beaten at Moraine Valley College in Palos Hills, Illinois. Two Arab boys assaulted the offenders in defense of the two students.

· Arab-American deli owner in Ardsely, New York asked if he was Arab by one customer. When he responded honestly, the customer cursed and yelled at him. The customer then sprayed the deli owner with pepper spray when the deli owner attempted to escort him out of the store.

· At a gas station in Dearborn Mich., a female customer was insulted by a man driving by in a car who yelled, “Get out of America, Get out of America.”

· The public school system in Jefferson Parish, New Orleans closed down due to the attacks on Arab and Muslim students.

· Rockville, Maryland– A rug company was set on fire during the night of the 11th. The Palestinian owner had been renting the building to another Palestinian and an Iranian. The men reported threatening phone calls Tuesday.

· six bullets fired through windows of Dallas area mosque, overnight Tuesday (tolerance.org)

· Carrollton, TX mosque (Madinah Masjid) has windows shattered late Tuesday,or early Wednesday (tolerance.org and bbc)

· A woman was on her way to pick up her son from school in Brooklyn, New York, when she was approached by an older Caucasian man who threatened her (cair)

· Two girls were on their way home from school when they were approached by a group of adults and teenagers who began to threaten them and threw stones at them. (cair)

· 300 people in Chicago were turned back by police as they attempted to march toward a mosque southwest of the city (bbc)

September 12

· Texas, a woman was sent home from work Wednesday following a meeting with her boss who had singled her out because of her Palestinian heritage. He commented that he didn’t know if she would be celebrating the death of Americans in the office.

· Waverly, TN, two Arab American clinic workers received threatening phone calls telling them to “go home and get out of our country” and calling them “foreign fags.” Their daughter in Atlanta, GA received threatening phone calls.

· In Brooklyn, New York, an Arab-American grocer was subjected to a litany of racial slurs and threats. This transpired after the grocer was attempting to pay the balance of his bill in cash and the delivery person suggested that the grocer call into the main office of Derlie Farms and the manager who answered the call began spewing racist venom. This incident was reported to the police.

· Man writes “I now enjoy watching Arabs and Muslims die”

· Please Die. I hope the US “nukes” the Middle East then the world will be a better place.

· You should start acting like Americans and not terrorists.

· You are either American or Arab. Arab-American is an oxymoron.

· I am usually a level headed person, but now I believe your organization should shut down, and I will refrain from going to any Arab owned businesses. Now Arabs all over the world will suffer.

September 12

· Go Home! You people act violently towards Christian nations.

· Fake letter to George W. Bush stating the hope for use of nuclear arsenal on Arabs in the Middle East.

· Man believes Palestinians should not have further rights in the US. Also that the US should continue to aid Israel to kill Palestinians. “If I never see another Arab face again, especially that lying Arafat or that two faced Palestinian spokeswoman again, it may be too soon.”

· DIE BASTARDS!!!

· You Muslims must die!

· Get out of our country...you ignorant pieces of crap!

· This is not a terrorist problem it is an Arab problem. You will all die at the hands of Americans.

· Go fuck yourself you raghead fuck.

· If you don’t speak out or do anything about these terrorists attacks on the US then your people are condoning the hate.

· GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!
