Greetings Friends, old and new,

Well, as you know, I'm home! For the past couple days i've been w/ my
family in Oak Harbor, and am doing very well. (Even eating!)

And i must thank you, all, from the depths of my heart, for participating
in such momentous historical events. You've done a great service, and made a
huge difference to me, to the people of Palestine, the people of Israel,
and the people of the world. Believe me. You turned your eyes to a place
and to peoples who are being actively, and perniciously covered up. You've
supported human living in a time of horrific violence. As Joanna Kadi says,
you've honored your birthright by "participating in history." And again, i
thank you deeply for your courage and your affirmative actions.

It's difficult to quantify emotions, but one of the greatest feelings i've
ever had coursed through my body last Friday, when i walked into a crowd of
you all at Seatac Airport. Isolation becomes a part of you when you're in
prison, no matter how long you're inside, and to see you all, to hug you,
to hold your hands, listen to you and be listened to by you means more to
me than i'll ever be able to express. One thing became clear to me, that
evening: that when a person acts from a place of love, people will take
heed and reflect love back.

And this last point makes me think of my friends, still incarcerated in
Masiyahu prison. They are being prevented from seeing their selfless love
reflected back to them. They are being steadily lied to and threatened with
further isolation. Nathan Musselman has even suffered a round of
interrogation at the hands of the Shabak (Israeli Secret Service). So, as i
thank you all for supporting me, i also encourage you to keep up the
momentum to bring them home, so that they can feel the support they have.

Before i wrap this up, i'll just say that in the next couple days i hope to
put out a detailed account of what happened w/ us in Masiyahu Prison, in
the hope that any confusion will be cleared up.

I'll close with a quote from one person who is a deep well of inspiration
for me, June Jordan:

"And for ourselves, the intrinsic 'Purpose' is to reach, and to remember,
and to declare our commitment to all the living, without deceit, and
without fear, and without reservation. We do what we can. And by doing it,
we keep ourselves trusting, which is to say, vulnerable, and more than
that, what can anyone ask?"

love.
