Tips on living a better life

Anniversaries often send men into a panic, while women count down the days. There are so many things to organise, including gifts, dinners and outings, all of which need to be super special! Here’s how to get prepared for your anniversary and avoid disappointing your lady.
Along with the gift giving, you should also remember to organise a romantic dinner (or lunch, if your anniversary falls on a weekend). When it comes to romantic meals, choose somewhere that’s perhaps a favourite (maybe the restaurant of your first date?) or somewhere that’s different to where you normally eat out, like a restaurant by the beach, for instance. Keep the venue a secret, however, and surprise her with it on the day.
If you are on a tight budget, expensive dinners can of course be substituted for something cheaper. Cooking a romantic dinner at home is a great option (don’t forget the champagne) as is taking her out for a picnic in the sun.
Arranging a holiday for your anniversary is a top idea if you have the time and money – and you’ll also impress her with your organisational skills!
Getaways don’t necessarily have to be costly, though – while you may not be able to whisk her away to Paris, a simple weekend in a country town can also be very romantic and accommodation is often quite cheap. A basic hotel room, for instance, is easily transformed up with a few rose petals and a bottle of champagne. When in doubt, pick something by the water.
After many years of blissful marriage, renewing your vows is a wonderful gift for your anniversary. It will take a little bit of organisation – such as finding a venueand booking a celebrant – but it’s a wonderfully romantic thing to do and it definitely won’t disappoint! If you do decide to renew your vows, consider writing your own for that extra special touch.
